SAB World Of Beer Tour
Late last year I spent a day at the SAB World Of Beer Tour. The tour covers how beer is made, the rich culture it holds in South Africa.
The museum apparently has nearly 50,000 visitors a year and tours happen from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
The tour entertains and educates through and interactive journey through the history and processes behind beer in South Africa. I quickly realized that I actually had no idea what goes into making beer from the planting process all the way to the storage, bottling, and final product that we find in stores. There are so many processes that have been in place for hundreds of years and inventory that's been unchanged to preserve consistent quality and taste. I was impressed.
There were plenty of highlights but I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for anyone but I can say that the tour does end with a beer tasting and lunch and is definitely worth checking out.
